Punjabi Chole Masala Powder

So this is why ended up making this too! I was knowing earlier that Chole Masala is done and need to get a packet of one (I used Badshah Masala) But then for one packet, doesn't make any sense. Search few recipes, noted the Ingredients and then what! Look at this :)))))

Ingredients required:
  • Cumin Seeds/Jeera  - 2 tbsp
  • Dry Red Chilli/Sukhi Lal Mirch - 5
  • Turmeric/Haldi - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Seeds/Dhaniya - 1 tbsp
  • Black Peppercorns/Kali Mirch - 1/2 tbsp
  • Cloves/Laung - 10
  • White Sesame Seeds/Safed Til - 1 tbsp
  • Green Cardamom/Hari Elachi - 10
  • Dry Ginger/Saunth - 2 pieces {I used  Ginger Powder - 1/2 tbsp}
  • Dry Mango Powder/Amchur - 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon/Dalchini - 5 sticks 1" each
  • Bay Leaf/Tejpatta - 2
  • Star Anise/Chakri Phool - 1 (Not in the picture, but it looks like a star brown in color)
  • Nutmeg/Jaiphal - a small pieces or 1/2 tsp grated/powder
  • Salt - 1 tsp

Method:
  • Simply roast all the spices on medium flame till they look little brown in color. (No need to use the powder ones) Aroma will be super wonderful when you roast it.
  • Cool it down complete and crush it in a blender. Strain it and store it an air tight container.
  • Shelf life is upto 3-4 months :)
