Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Cinnamon Swirl Bread! It is just a feeling like being in Heaven ! Just super yummy and a MUST TRY RECIPE FOR EACH ONE YOU! :) :) Didn't I Mention - IT IS 100% WHOLE WHEAT CINNAMON SWIRL BREAD

Didn't got the perfect swirls as Pan was little small for that and then did some Jugaad to get it :) :)

Without waiting, let's go through Ingredients:

Bread Dough
  • 2 cups - Whole Wheat Flour
  • Instant Yeast - 1 1/4 tsp ( I didn't proof it as it was Instant Rise Yeast, if using Dry Active Yeast)
  • Melted Butter - 1 1/2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  • Honey - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp (Optional, on how much sweet you want)
  • Warm Milk - 1/2 cup and little more to it! (Make sure it is not HOT)
Filling
  • Unsalted Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Brown Sugar - 4 tbsp
  • Cinnamon Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Method

Step 1 - Sieve the flour twice. Add yeast, honey, salt, sugar(which is optional) and 1 1/2 tbsp butter.

Step 2 - Add the warm milk and start kneading. At first, it will be sticky but then keep kneading for good 10-12 minutes. Add rest of 1 tbsp of melted butter to knead the dough.

Step 3 - Make the spring like dough as above. This will happen with proper and continuous kneading. As it is Wheat Flour, kneading would be little more. Make a ball size dough, cling wrap it and put it in the oven (DON'T TURN IT ON) for around 1 hour and 30  minutes

Step 4 - The first rise is ready :)

Step 5 - Punch the dough and knead for couple of minutes (I have forgotten to take certain pictures, so please bear with me!)

Step 6 - Prepare the filling as mentioned with Ingredients above!

Step 7 - Roll the dough in a square shape with the help of Rolling pin

Step 8 - Spread the filling on the dough evenly. Mine was evenly spread, but sorry for no picture :(

This is the important step to get the swirl! I made the swirl as mentioned in the above picture.

Step 9 - Start Rolling the dough once filling is spread out! See how evenly it is done :)
Step 10 - Cut from middle and you will see the filling.
Step 11 - Joint the both ends
Step 12 - Start doing the knots on exactly how we do it in our hair!  This will be done only if you have little longer loaf pan! I didn't realize till I put the Swirl inside it and then what! I had to make it  rise in the form of regular loaf :( Make sure it has to be greased pan!

Step 13 - Put it for 2nd rise for around 40-50  minutes in the greased pan you are going to bake :)

Step 13 - Preheat the oven at 375 F and bake the bread for 30-35 minutes. I did it for exact 35 minutes. Look at the crunchiness above in the picture :) :) Looks darker but trust me the crunch tastes heaven!

So let me know when you try this heavenly  bread and are stuck in between :) Good Luck!

Happy Baking!
