Winters have almost arrived and so as my food :) So thought of sharing with you all this delicious recipe of Methi Matar Malai. Both healthy and delicious food makes the perfect dinner for family as well as guests :) :)

Let's see the Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup - Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder (Optional)
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala (According to your taste)
  • Kasuri Methi leaves as per the taste
  • Salt as per the taste
  • Jeera
To Fry and make it a mixture:
  • 1 chopped Green Chilli (Cut it as shown in the Picture)
  • 1 chopped Ginger
  • 2-3 Cloves
  • 8-10 Cashews
  • 2 Cardamom (optional)
  • 2-3 tbsp - Ghee
Method:
Heat the Ghee(Clarified Butter) and saute green chillies and ginger. Once done add Cashews and fry till they are brown. (I actually completely forgot to do this, so add it in the later part)

In the mixture, the saute chillies and ginger

Add cashews later

Smooth Paste

In the same Pan with left over ghee, saute the mixture for couple of minutes with the constant stir. If it sticks, add salt so that it doesn't get stick to the pan.

Add washed Methi and Green Peas to the mixture.

Add all the spices (Turmeric powder, salt, kasuri methi, garam masala) And give it a good mix. Make sure flame is medium.

Add cream and give it very good mix. Keep it on lower flame and let it boil for few minutes. Switch off the gas once done and serve hot with Parathas or Roti :)
